- ➤ Elkhart County Parks will host a Dutch Oven Dump Cake and ice cream luncheon on Jan. 31 at Bonneyville Mill County Park; tickets are $10 and must be pre-registered by Jan. 29, and attendees will gather at 10 a.m. at the Baldwin One Room Schoolhouse (supplies provided). ABC 57
- ➤ On Jan. 26, Matt Russell from the Humane Society of St. Joseph County introduced Charlette, a dog in need of a new home, to the community. The organization hopes locals will consider adopting her soon. 16 News Now

- ➤ Elkhart County Parks, Goshen City Parks and the Goshen Department for Environmental Resilience will co-host a Winter Waterfowl Identification workshop on Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Rieth Interpretive Center — Fidler Pod, where participants 12 and older learn to identify ducks, geese and swans.
