- ➤ Elkhart Community Schools and other districts are using synchronous eLearning days so students do not have to make up days missed due to winter weather. Operation Education is examining how these virtual classes meet state law limits on asynchronous days (capped at three per school year) while allowing unlimited synchronous days. WSBT
- ➤ Wawasee High School announced today that assistant coach Nate OConnell is taking over as head coach for the boys basketball team after Joe Luce left his role. 16 News Now

- ➤ Elkhart City Council approved a downtown outdoor drinking ordinance Feb. 3, paving the way for business owners to expand licensed outdoor spaces. Local owners are hopeful the new rule (after lengthy discussions) will boost downtown activity. 16 News Now
- ➤ The Hoosier Lottery released four new Gem 7’s Scratch-Offs on Tuesday, offering tickets from $2 to $20 with top prizes up to $575,000—available statewide for adults 18 and older. 16 News Now
