EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Elkhart Schools released a consolidation plan on Feb. 10 to reassign students from Hawthorne, Bristol, Osolo, Woodland and Mary Beck while potentially cutting 36 certified staff. The Teachers Association said affected teachers will see openings by end of February + placements are expected by end of March. WSBT

- ➤ The Indiana House Ways and Means committee approved Senate Bill 27 on Thursday morning, a unanimous vote that sets up financing for a new stadium near Wolf Lake in Hammond. The bill moves to full House consideration as the Chicago Bears express interest in the project. 16 News Now
