  • Community members gathered at the Tolson Center on Saturday, March 15th for the second annual Speak our Truth Project Rally to raise awareness for child safety and human rights. Organizers honored victims of bullying and abuse—pointing out that these issues affect the nation and call for a united response.  ABC 57

CRIME NEWS

  • Indiana State Police are investigating the death of Jordan Sanders, 32, at St. Joseph County Jail after staff reported at 1:40 a.m. Saturday that he was in medical distress and was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts; an autopsy—including a toxicology report—is scheduled for today at Western Michigan University.  ABC 57

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Midwest Museum of Art is hosting Youth Art Month by displaying 183 works from 154 high school students—marking its 45th year of showcasing student artwork—in an exhibit open in Elkhart until Sunday, April 6.  WSBT

  • Penn High School junior CJ Vantine won an honorable mention for his documentary 'Reforming Section 230: Modifying the Moderation' in C-Span's national StudentCam competition.   • South Bend Riley, South Bend Saint Joseph, Jimtown and Triton won regional titles on Saturday, March 15th—advancing to the semi-state round. The teams now prepare to face tougher opponents as the tournament moves into its next stage.  16 News Now
