  • Elkhart Parks and Recreation is hosting a Let's Get Organized workshop at Woodlawn Nature Center on Mar. 28 and Apr. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Guests will build their own laundry basket organizer (all tools provided, wood precut, no experience needed) and reserve spots online.  ABC 57

  • Michiana residents are canceling trips as gas prices near $4 a gallon (prices have climbed from $3.29 to $3.89 in two weeks) amid rising global oil costs.  16 News Now

  • Clay and Penn fire officials will vote on Tuesday, Mar. 24 at 5:30 p.m. on merging their departments into one seven-unit fire territory to boost firefighter recruitment and retention while keeping taxes low (officials say the reserved tax portion is only for fire protection costs).  WSBT
