  • Gas prices have reached $4.19 per gallon today at several local stations, affecting day trips and budgets as prices steadily increased from $3.09 in early March (local drivers report higher fuel costs).  16 News Now

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Yesterday, Goshen College alumni and supporters held Connect Goshen Day to celebrate and fundraise for scholarships and campus programs. The event included 20 gatherings nationwide and an online donation drive on the college website.  WSBT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission questioned utility companies on rising electric bills Tuesday as locals lost trust in providers. Regulators held the inquiry to gather evidence on energy affordability and assess its impact on consumer costs.  16 News Now
  • Seven communities approved merging the Clay and Penn fire territories into one service in 2027 to address rising call volumes and staffing challenges. The new territory will cover Clay, German, Harris, Penn, Osceola, Indian Village and Roseland and use increased fire taxes to fund better pay.  16 News Now
