- ➤ A neighbor showed ABC57’s Jackie Bauer damage from trees falling on his home and those of two neighbors during Sunday storms — residents are still cleaning up damage from an EF1 tornado that swept through less than a block away last July — as the neighborhood braces for more severe weather. - ➤ The Better Business Bureau warns that scammers are targeting people with severe weather damage by offering high repair prices and false insurance claims (officials advise checking the BBB scam tracker and verifying charities before giving money). WSBT

- ➤ On Monday morning, police responded to a home on the 1700 block of Frances Avenue after a known man entered without permission armed with a handgun and fired—threatening a male victim and causing abrasions—before fleeing; authorities said no one was hit and the case remains under investigation. - ➤ Indiana Michigan Power and recovery crews cleared storm damage that left thousands without power, including cutting down a large pine tree that hit a power pole.
