  • Local leaders and residents in Elkhart are working together to protect the Johnson Street Dam as its federal license nears a key reapplication deadline at the end of 2025.   • Goshen police warned residents that scammers have been contacting families who posted about missing loved ones on social media — claiming to have them hostage — to demand ransom money and urged everyone to verify details and call law enforcement immediately.  ABC 57

  • Grace College's team of 6 will head to Arizona next week for the Baja S-A-E International Engineering Competition. They will compete against nearly 80 schools in building karts that are graded on performance attributes — maneuverability, hill climbing, sled pulling, shock testing, acceleration and endurance.  16 News Now

  • Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson will deliver his annual State of the City address today at the Lerner Theatre—doors open at 5 p.m. with the talk beginning at 5:30 p.m. The event will preview upcoming developments and future city plans.  WSBT
  • A coalition formed by elected officials, local residents and members of the St. Joseph River Association — working to protect the Johnson Street Dam on the river — launched a website for public input as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission reviews the dam's future while American Electric Power’s license expires in 2030.  ABC 57
