  • Downtown Goshen, Inc. will host the Green Day Celebration on May 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Courthouse lawn to offer family-friendly activities focused on sustainability (including tree climbing lessons by My Tree Climber, live animal displays by Elkhart-South Bend-Goshen Aquatic Biology, and food trucks with dining options).  ABC 57

  • A South Shore train collided with a semi-truck at the Smilax Road crossing just after 8 p.m. today—Smilax Road remains closed between U.S. 20 and Edison Road and no injuries were reported.  16 News Now

  • The Elkhart Municipal Band will perform a free concert at the Lerner Theatre on Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. to celebrate the venue's 100th birthday — the show will feature works by Vaughn Williams, Jamie Texidor and George Gershwin, with special guest Mayor Rod Roberson and live piano from Celia Weiss.  WSBT
