ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ New Prairie High School community gathered Friday evening at the baseball field to pray for those hurt in a chain-reaction crash late Thursday in LaPorte County—two victims remain in the hospital including 16-year-old Lucas Bradshaw in life-threatening condition. ABC 57
- ➤ On Thursday at 8:41 p.m., deputies from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash on C.R. 30 — S.R. 19 when a 16-year-old North Liberty teen in a 2007 Ford van failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a 2016 Dodge Ram truck; the truck driver, a 38-year-old from Pottsville, Ark., was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for pain — and the teen was cited for the violation. - ➤ Premier Arts held an educational matinee on Friday morning at the Lerner Theatre that featured local school children as performers—this weekend the theatre will host four Fiddler on the Roof shows including an all-youth production today at 2 p.m., with tickets from $13 to $28 available. 16 News Now

- ➤ Officials said phase 3 of the construction project at the Ireland, Ironwood intersection began on May 9 (work focused on the center lanes of Ironwood Drive) and is still underway. 16 News Now
- ➤ The Elkhart Police Department held its annual Peace Officers Memorial Service near Central Park to honor fallen officers by reading their names and hearing chaplain Jim Bontrager's remarks. Mayor Rob Roberson, police officers, firefighters and community leaders attended the event — a local tribute to officers who died in the line of duty. ABC 57
