  • Edward Jones volunteers helped people experiencing homelessness Tuesday at First Light Mission in Goshen — working from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. — to provide support through their Day of Caring.  16 News Now
  • Crossroads United Way announced on May 19 that nearly $845,000 will be distributed to local groups this month, with $187,000 designated for The Salvation Army + church community services. The contributions aim to support organizations serving our community.  16 News Now

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Microsoft hosted an open house at Century Center where residents & government officials saw plans for its proposed Granger data center project. The event gave the community an early look at the future development.  16 News Now

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Washington High School held its Impact in Motion event yesterday, during which community leaders toured the district’s medical and dental academy (one of its fastest-growing programs).  16 News Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The U.S. House passed the Fostering the Future Act to support teens in foster care who are expecting a child. Congressman Rudy Yakym (from Northcentral Indiana) said the bill will connect young parents with education and housing services.  WSBT
