- ➤ YMCA Camp Eberhart in Three Rivers unveiled renovations yesterday at Dave's House and Cooper's Coop that upgraded framing, siding, roofing, flooring, and shoreline stabilization—adding a new generator in the mess hall, safer fencing for horses and wildlife, and planned ADA accessibility improvements. Camp officials expect a record number of campers this year. WSBT
- ➤ Residents in the Weston Park neighborhood celebrated the reopening of the renovated inclusive playground on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting and community festivities showcasing new slides, swings and a jungle gym. The upgrade is part of Elkhart’s Aspire program aimed at rebuilding six playgrounds citywide—providing safer public spaces for families. 16 News Now

- ➤ Elkhart Community Schools announced on Thursday that it will restart the Summer Food Service Program for Children in 2025 to offer free breakfasts, lunches, and snacks from June 9 to Aug. 7 — though sites will close from June 30 to July 7 as schedules may change. ABC 57

- ➤ The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians and its Four Winds Casinos held a media day today at South Bend Country Club to preview the upcoming Four Winds Invitational, a tournament that will help Beacon Children’s Hospital expand its NICU camera system for parents to see their babies. The tournament runs from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3+ over 13 years it has raised nearly $1.1 million in proceeds to support children’s care. 16 News Now
