ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Sunday at 9:34 a.m., deputies responded to an automated crash detection at Lincoln Highway and Hawthorn Road in Marshall County and found a 34-year-old Goshen man in a 1999 Toyota 4-Runner—he suffered back pain after leaving the roadway, crashing into trees, and was airlifted to a hospital.  ABC 57

  • Indiana State Sen. Mike Bohacek was accused of driving with a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit in January.  16 News Now

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A new osprey chick was spotted atop the WNDU studio tower in a quick clip — the video shows the young bird in its nest. The clip offers a rare look at local wildlife — a fresh sight for neighbors.  16 News Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Monday evening the City Council voted unanimously to support the Boulder Run Economic Development project that would allow 86 new single-family houses east of Jeanwood Dr. and Henke St.—Mike Huber said Tax Increment Finance funds will help cover about $7.1 million in infrastructure costs and a bond ordinance will be reviewed on June 16.  ABC 57

  • Notre Dame catcher Carson Tinney has entered the NCAA transfer portal after an impressive season—his move leaves the team to adjust its strategy for upcoming games. The college announced the decision yesterday and said it could affect roster plans for future seasons.  16 News Now
  • The Penn Kingsmen won the Class 4A Sectional 3 championship game by beating LaPorte 10—5 on June 2 and will move on to regionals.  16 News Now
