- ➤ Local boat owners took part in the 50th annual St. Joseph River Flotilla this afternoon in Elkhart—boats were decorated with a music theme and contestants competed for best display. ABC 57
- ➤ St. Joe’s River Rats hosted their 50th annual Independence Day flotilla on July 4 at 12:45 from the Six Span Bridge where decorated boats with a music theme earned a $50 restaurant gift card. Boats launched from a public landing (accessed east of McDonald’s on State Road 120 and County Road 17) while spectators watched from Martin’s Landing along E. Jackson Blvd. WSBT
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Early Saturday morning, the Elkhart Sheriff's Department responded to a two-vehicle crash when a 2015 Kia Sorento disregarded flashing red lights at the intersection of C.R 20 and C.R 7 and struck a 2006 Acura MDX, sending the Kia’s driver and passenger to Elkhart General Hospital for pain— the unlicensed Kia driver was cited for ignoring the signal.
