The 152nd Elkhart County 4-H Fair will run from (Friday, July 18) through (Saturday, July 26) as local organizers prepare to engage the community in traditional fair activities.

The Elkhart County 4-H Fair (152nd year) is the largest fair outside the Indiana State Fair and will be held from Friday, July 18 through Saturday, July 26 at the fairgrounds (17746 County Road 34 in Goshen).

On Sunday morning, the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on the 21000 block of S.R.120 when 19-year-old Cyanna McKnight, intoxicated and speeding, lost control of her 2014 Honda Accord and rolled through several yards—she was taken to a local hospital with pain on her right side and back.

South Shore Line is offering free rides for teachers from July 14 to July 20 on off-peak weekday and weekend trains, requiring a valid school ID.

The railway also supports a Kids Ride Free Program—children under 13 ride free with a paying adult.

New Prairie United School Corporation said it will not allow students to attend LifeWise Academy’s off-campus bible classes until the nonprofit provides detailed volunteer background check information.
