  • On Sunday, a church in Elkhart honored Celia Weiss for 50 years of service as its music director and organist — she also played concerts downtown and taught in public schools. A reception followed the special service at Journey Cafe.  WSBT

CRIME NEWS

  • A car rear-ended a moped on Saturday at 2:15 a.m. near County Road 4 & Delta Court, ejecting both riders, with a 35-year-old moped driver later dying at the hospital & police arresting 23-year-old Joseph Bailey of Elkhart for leaving the crash scene.  16 News Now

  • The Potawatomi Zoo is hosting an adult day camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that lets visitors enjoy games, crafts, train rides and tours while watching bear training and touching a rhino in hands-on animal sessions.  ABC 57
