- ➤ Lawrence Lippert, founder of Lippert Components, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at age 100 after building his company into a respected manufacturing firm since 1956. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and visitation is today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home in Alma, Mich. 16 News Now

- ➤ A 24-year-old man, Christopher Dillon Chadwick, died on Thursday after a head-on collision on State Road 120 east of County Road 17—he was taken to a hospital with head and internal injuries and the crash remains under investigation. WSBT
- ➤ The Indiana State Police cold case team is using new DNA technology—like SNP testing—to reexamine unsolved murders including the 41-year-old killing of Darlene Hulse and a case of 11-year-old Brandie Peltz, and they are asking anyone with information to help solve them. WSBT
