ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Police identified 21-year-old Steven Perez from Elkhart and 69-year-old Donna Rae Gushwa from Milford as the two who died in a four-vehicle crash that happened last Friday just before 7:45 a.m. at the corner of County Road 40 and County 17—Perez was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from his car while two other drivers were taken to a hospital, and the crash remains under investigation. 16 News Now
- ➤ Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of S.R. 13 and C.R. 42 around 7:35 p.m. Monday when a 94-year-old from Middlebury disregarded a stop sign and struck a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 25-year-old from Nappanee—Pratt complained of pain from the shoulder to the knee and was taken to Goshen General Hospital while the other driver was released and no drugs or alcohol were involved. - ➤ Bristol will host the Corndog Festival this weekend—local organizers say the event celebrates the city's nickname as the Corndog Capital of the World and provides family-friendly fun. 16 News Now
- ➤ The City of Elkhart held a press conference Tuesday to announce that the free 'Under the Stars' concert featuring Kool and the Gang and The Commodores will take place on Sept. 6 at the Central Green. Officials said road closures will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday — the event is presented by the Lerner Theatre and Elkhart County CVB and will feature vendors and food trucks. ABC 57
