- ➤ The 27th annual Riding to Remember ride ran at 12 p.m. on Sunday when hundreds of motorcyclists traveled from Elkhart through Wakarusa, Nappanee and Goshen to the Middlebury American Legion Post 210 to honor fallen police, firefighters and veterans. A post-ride party with food, drinks and music followed—charity funds supported local children, the elderly, veterans and public safety organizations. WSBT

- ➤ A person was injured in a shooting on Sunday on Middlebury Street in Elkhart—police say the injury is non-life-threatening as the investigation continues. WSBT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Indiana is funding elementary school literacy with millions while cutting pre-K and childcare vouchers—a change local leaders worry will hurt early learning for vulnerable children. Concord and South Bend educators stress that early education is key to reading success and the issue is examined on Operation Education at 6 p.m. on WSBT 22. WSBT
