More than 2,000 people climbed 110 flights of stairs at Notre Dame Stadium on Sept.
9 to honor 9/11 first responders—proceeds benefited Heart 9/11. Notre Dame students organized the event, which raised thousands and strengthened local tribute to the legacy of emergency service.

Notre Dame University said it will require ACT or SAT scores for its 2027-28 admissions cycle after a six-year optional period, aiming to better assess academic readiness.

Concord Community Schools has renamed the district office the George S.
Dyer Education Center after the longtime educator passed on Sept. 5—his 34-year career shaped generations of students, staff and families.
