- ➤ On September 11th, an Elkhart firefighter climbed a stair machine at Lakeshore High School in full gear to honor the victims of the 9/11 attacks—his act paid tribute to the fallen. 16 News Now
- ➤ On September 11th, 2025, Elkhart firefighter Nick Hintz climbed 128 flights of stairs at Beacon Health & Fitness in Granger, wearing full gear to honor 9/11 victims—this marked his 11th annual memorial climb. 16 News Now
- ➤ St. Joseph County police climbed the stairs at Penn High School on Thursday to honor lives lost in the 9/11 attacks—pausing twice for a moment of silence to recall the 110 stories climbed by New York City firefighters. 16 News Now
- ➤ Michiana residents took a 21-mile walk from Martin's Super Market in Erskine Plaza to the 9/11 memorial in St. Patrick's County Park to honor the victims, survivors, and first responders—making stops at seven fire stations along the route. 16 News Now

- ➤ City officials permanently closed the Goshen Recycling Center at 802 N.
