- ➤ Potawatomi Zoo will send its beloved rhino Masamba to a 10,000-acre conservation center in Ohio—where it will breed, marking its departure from the zoo. 16 News Now
- ➤ Indiana reduction zones in urban areas such as South Bend, La Porte, Elkhart, Michigan City & Warsaw extend the hunting season and allow hunters to take up to 10 deer and a second antler deer to help manage high deer populations. Hunters must follow DNR safety procedures & local rules to balance wildlife numbers with community needs. ABC 57
- ➤ St. Joseph County approved an amendment to its Water Protection Plan aimed at tackling water contamination and boosting clean water access—county funds will be reallocated to study septic system concentrations while engineers begin a report on long-term solutions. ABC 57
