  • A ceremony titled 'We the People' honored women veterans in recognition of their service during a local event. Community leaders praised the veterans for their dedication and sacrifice at the celebration.  16 News Now

CULTURE NEWS

  • Freaky Friday the Musical will take the stage at Goshen Theater next weekend. Phoenix Performing Arts presents shows on Sept 26 at 7:30 p.m.—Sept 27 at 7:30 p.m.—and Sept 28 at 3 p.m. with tickets costing $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors, and $15 for kids.  16 News Now
  • Tricia Sloma of WNDU received an award for her 'Century of Champions' documentary on September 19th—her work was recognized for its creative storytelling.  16 News Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • University of Notre Dame—widely known in the community—is hosting a conversation today with Utah Gov. Spencer Cox and New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event highlights Gov. Cox’s plea after the shooting death of Charlie Kirk—discussing bipartisan ways to heal the nation.  16 News Now

  • Adams head football coach Frank Karczewski spoke with Sabrina Hoover ahead of a big South Bend game against Saint Joe — he explained his team’s key strategies for the matchup.  16 News Now
  • The Irish, led by Marcus Freeman, will face Purdue today as they try to get their season back on track—Freeman said every year the journey is different.  16 News Now
  • NorthWood and Northridge are tied in a 12-game series with six wins each and will face off tonight at 7 p.m. in Nappanee with a forecast of 85 degrees at kickoff that will drop to the low 60s later—rain in past games has evenly split wins between the teams.  ABC 57
  • High school football highlights from Week 5 showed key plays from local teams and included an interview with Adams coach Frank Karczewski—providing insight ahead of a South Bend matchup.  16 News Now
