- ➤ Elkhart will host its fourth annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday at Central Green, 300 S. Main Street from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.—the event will feature food trucks, live music, dance performances, free children’s activities and a fireworks finale. 16 News Now

- ➤ Lauren Moss and Joshua Short visited Schmucker Middle School to watch seventh and eighth graders broadcast their morning announcements using lights, cameras and teleprompters. The students asked questions about journalism after the broadcast. 16 News Now
