- ➤ Elkhart Environmental Center hosted Waggin in the Woods, a free event held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. where local dog rescue group Tracking in the Shadows offered microchipping — nail trims, a dog agility course, puppy therapy and a pooch parade while collecting donations. WSBT

- ➤ Experts warn that listening to loud music on headphones can hurt your ears—one in five teens now suffer hearing loss, which is 30% higher than 20 years ago. Dr. Paul Judge from Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center said people should lower the volume and take breaks during long listening sessions. WSBT
