- ➤ The Lerner Theatre will host The Great Gatsby in Elkhart soon - the production will bring the classic story to local fans and ticket details will be announced later. 16 News Now
- ➤ The Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson will run Pumpkin Trains every Saturday in October along the junction of four former railroads. Passengers can choose a diesel train for a 10-mile, 45-minute round trip that begins after an hour-long Not-So-Scary, Scary Animal Show at 4:15 p.m. CT or a shorter 25-minute steam train ride that ends at a Pumpkin Patch for games and carving. - ➤ Crews in Goshen will flush 1,400 hydrants overnight from Tuesday to Friday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to remove iron buildup from the water lines—residents may see brown water in laundry hookups for two to six hours after the cleaning. WSBT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ St. Joseph County Emergency Management Agency began a $1.5M upgrade for its Early Outdoor Warning Siren System by updating 67 sirens and adding five new locations with ARP funds. Officials said the project includes new electrical parts such as radio receivers, antennae, and backup batteries—tests will be held when service trucks visit each site on the first Thursday of the month.
