- ➤ Knollbrook Farms in Goshen features a 12-acre corn maze that has entertained visitors for over 20 years. John and Cynthia Adam design the maze by starting with pen and paper and then using GPS technology to guide mowing—each year adding new activities that teach about agriculture and delight kids. - ➤ Pooches on the Patio will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Corner Bar Patio at Hotel Elkhart—raising funds and supplies for the Humane Society of Elkhart County. 16 News Now

- ➤ Career Academy's Robotics Team is hosting its 'Paddle of the Pack' learning event to teach robotics and teamwork—officials said more details on the schedule and location will be shared soon. 16 News Now
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Due to a federal shutdown at the end of the fiscal year, WIC has little funding left and children may soon receive less help even though local offices in Saint Joseph County stay open. Congress must reach an agreement soon—WIC funds could run out in one to two weeks, risking support for more than 150,000 families. WSBT

- ➤ High school football teams showed strong plays in week 7 games as players battled hard and fans cheered the close scores—coaches reviewed the match to plan for upcoming games. Teams are expected to adjust their strategies as the season continues. 16 News Now
