  • Island Park is hosting a Trunk or Treat event in Elkhart — the community event offers decorated car trunks and treats for families.  16 News Now
  • The Michiana Down Syndrome Festival & Walk at Potawatomi Zoo will bring community members together to celebrate inclusion for people with Down syndrome — organizers say the event will feature a community walk, festival activities, and educational opportunities.  16 News Now

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation placed its athletic director on administrative leave pending an investigation as it works with the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office+ the school has also asked for help from the Indiana State Board of Accounts.  WSBT

HEALTH NEWS

  • Officials quarantined 3,500 ducks at a commercial meat duck farm in Elkhart and over 2,500 ducks at a breeder in LaGrange County after bird flu was detected in the flocks—bird depopulation will begin soon and restocking will occur once the virus is cleared. Officials also stressed that properly cooked food remains safe.  WSBT

  • No. 16 Notre Dame beat NC State 36-7 at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday. The Irish led 10-7 at halftime and scored 26 unanswered points in the second half to secure the win.  16 News Now
