- ➤ The Studebaker Speaker Series—America’s Canal Era—will be held on October 15 at 1:30 p.m. in the Wiekamp Auditorium, where Matt Anderson from the Henry Ford Museum will discuss the Erie Canal’s 200th anniversary and the rise and fall of canal transport; regular admission is $2. ABC 57
- ➤ Local artists will display paintings of Bonneyville Mill from Oct. 14 through Oct. 19—visitors can also purchase water powered, stone ground flour for recipes. ABC 57
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Elkhart invites residents to give input on the Old Roundhouse site—where an EPA cleanup plan and future redevelopment are planned—with two public meetings at the Tolson Center on October 27 and October 28. Written comments on the draft cleanup plan are accepted until November 3. ABC 57
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Notre Dame advanced its season with a 36—7 win over NC State as it scored 26 unanswered points in the second half. The team will face USC next week to build on strong offense and defense. ABC 57
