COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Hamilton Grove is hosting its annual Trick-or-Treat night on October 23 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.—residents will enjoy safe trick-or-treating along a decorated path with children in costumes.  ABC 57
  • Newton Park hosted its annual Halloween in the Park event on Saturday — festivities moved indoors because of rain, and community members with local vendors set up candy tables for children who dressed in costumes.  ABC 57

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Oct 18, 2025, several No Kings protests took place across Michiana—local activist Kate Marsh voiced concerns about U.S. policies and leadership during the rallies.  16 News Now

SPORTS NEWS

  • The WNDU 16 News Now GAMEDAY team detailed game picks, key players, and match analysis for the upcoming USC at Notre Dame game while noting a strong bond between coaches Shrewsberry and Freeman that could shape the team's strategy. The team also explained what Notre Dame must do to keep its playoff hopes alive and reviewed the rivalry's history—there is currently no contract for the annual series.  16 News Now
  • No. 13 Notre Dame beat No. 20 USC 34-24 on Saturday night in South Bend—Love ran for a career high of 228 yards and Price scored on a 100-yard kickoff return. The win boosts their playoff hopes as they have a bye week before they travel to Boston College on Nov. 1.  16 News Now
  • The Fighting Irish defeated USC 34 to 24 as both teams traded plays all night—CJ Carr completed 15 of 23 passes for 127 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The Irish improved to 5-2 and have a bye week before facing Boston College.  ABC 57
  • At Notre Dame Stadium, No. 13 Notre Dame leads No. 20 USC 14-13 in the second quarter. USC opened with a 75-yard drive for a touchdown, and Notre Dame answered with scoring drives including a 16-yard run by Jadarian Price—pregame warmups were cut short by heavy rain.  WSBT
