- ➤ Elkhart Parks & Recreation hosted a 60th anniversary celebration for the Woodlawn Nature Center that featured family activities, guided hikes, food trucks, and a ceremony honoring its legacy—marking a milestone for community connection among generations. WSBT
- ➤ The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced its November drive-thru food distribution events to feed local families. The schedule includes LaCrosse Apostolic Christian Church on November 5 from 10 a.m. to Noon CT feeding 150 households; Starke County Fairgrounds on November 13 feeding 200 households; and San Pierre Town Park on November 20 feeding 200 households—turkey distribution sites will be announced on November 9. - ➤ Elkhart County Parks will host a free bird walk on November 5 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Corson Riverwoods County Park + visitors can use available binoculars to view local birds as the event will take place rain or shine + it is open to the public for ages 8 and older. ABC 57
