- ➤ The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday train will roll into northern Indiana on Sunday, November 23, with Elkhart expecting its arrival at around 2:41 a.m.—the train supports food banks, and officials advise that the times are approximate. WSBT
- ➤ Ezra hopes to be adopted by a caring family before he turns 18 — he is seeking a permanent home to begin a stable future. 16 News Now
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Indiana Farm Bureau released its annual market basket survey showing that the cost of a Thanksgiving meal for ten rose by less than one percent to just over $53—economist Todd Davis said higher transportation, processing, energy and labor costs drove the increase. He added that although wholesale prices jumped by 40 percent, shoppers have seen only a small rise and can save by looking for deals and using store brands. WSBT

- ➤ Operation Education is investigating how colleges connect students with counseling today as a fall survey of over 84,000 students shows lower rates of depression and anxiety across campuses including in our region—Saint Mary’s College uses a dedicated care team to call students in need and guide parents on checking in. - ➤ Indiana Michigan Power warned its customers about phishing scams on Utility Scam Awareness Day—customers were urged to check the source of any unexpected emails or calls to protect their personal details. 16 News Now

- ➤ Beltone Hearing Care announced free hearing aids for anyone facing hearing loss in Elkhart and Warsaw starting Wednesday and continuing until December 31. Applicants must schedule a hearing screening to qualify as part of the annual Hear for the Holidays campaign that aims to improve hearing and reduce isolation. WSBT
