Good morning, Elkhart.

Residents in Michiana began holiday shopping yesterday as local stores saw increased foot traffic from buyers looking for early deals.

INDOT began treating roads ahead of the holiday weekend to prepare for expected weather by spreading salt and other materials on major routes.

Crews in the Elkhart area are working to lower road hazards—steps meant to improve travel safety during peak holiday traffic.
