- ➤ The DEA has put new resources in place to fight the fentanyl crisis and organized crime under its Fentanyl Free America Initiative. Officials say the steps will boost safety in Michiana (the program targets high-risk areas) to keep the community protected. 16 News Now

- ➤ Notre Dame and USC could not agree on scheduling their 97th rivalry game for next year and have canceled it — officials say they will try to restart the series by 2030 while Notre Dame schedules games with BYU in 2026 and 2027. 16 News Now
